
Ross Perot Jr.
Chairman
Ross Perot Jr. is Chairman of Hillwood Development Company, LLC, which he founded in 1988.
The company is ranked among the top ten developers in the United States and is recognized for its high-profile projects and public-private ventures that bring tremendous value to its customers and partners.
Two of Hillwood’s largest projects have been the development of AllianceTexas, a 17,000-acre development northwest of DFW International Airport, and Victory, a 72-acre development in downtown Dallas that includes the American Airlines Center, home of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars.
Mr. Perot is also Chairman of the Board of Perot Systems Corporation, a multi-billion dollar global business technology company that provides business consulting, business process outsourcing, application solutions and IT infrastructure services to companies in a wide variety of industries including healthcare, government services, financial services, insurance, transportation and manufacturing.
Headquartered in Plano, TX, a suburb of Dallas, Perot Systems has more than 24,000 associates in North America, Europe and Asia. Named chairman in September 2004, Perot spent the previous four years as the company’s president and CEO and has served on the Perot Systems Board of Directors since its founding in 1988.
A native of Dallas, Perot graduated from St. Mark’s School in 1977, then earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Vanderbilt University in 1981.
In addition to technology and real estate, Perot also has a third interest —aviation. In 1982, after graduating from Vanderbilt University, he completed the first helicopter flight around the world. The 26,000 mile trip was completed in less than 30 days, crossing 26 countries and 17 seas and oceans. His helicopter, The Spirit of Texas, in on permanent display at the Smithsonian Institution’s Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC.
After joining the United States Air Force in 1983, Perot earned certification as an F-4 pilot and served for 8 ½ years. He then served as chairman of the Air Force Memorial Foundation where he led a 14-year effort to build the United States Air Force Memorial in Washington, DC, honoring the men and women of the United States Air Force. The Memorial was dedicated to the Nation in October 2006.
From 2002-03, Perot served as Chairman of the Governor’s Task Force for Economic Growth, which was charged with advising Texas Governor Rick Perry on ways to ensure long-term economic growth in Texas. He currently serves on the Board of the East-West Institute and the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations.
In 2007, Ross Perot, Jr. was the recipient of the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship, and also the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service. In 2008, he and his father, Ross Perot, jointly received the H. Neil Mallon Award presented by the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth.

Fred Balda
President
Under his leadership as President of Hillwood Residential for the past decade, Fred Balda has distinguished this division as one of the Top Ten Development companies in the country. He has not only overseen development of Hillwood's 20,000 lots and 60 master-planned communities, but he has also boosted the Residential portfolio with recent acquisitions that span the United States and extend to Costa Rica.
Since 1988, Hillwood Residential has been creating neighborhoods with amenities and beautiful landscaping, supported by Home Owners Associations, designed to generate community involvement. Balda continues to redefine the Residential business plan while he actively pursues acquisitions, joint ventures and third party opportunities throughout Texas and across the nation.
Balda plays an active role in the local real estate market as a member of ULI, Real Estate Council, Plano Chamber of commerce and the Home Builder's Association of Greater Dallas. He is a sought after speaker and panelist at many real estate seminars.
Balda began his career as Project Engineer on various construction projects for the H.B. Zachry Company in 1983. He launched his real estate career in 1985 with Trammell Crow Company as Project Manager of master-planned communities throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth market. During his tenure with Club Corporation of America (1990-1992), he added golf course development and entitlement to his field of expertise.
Balda graduated from Texas A&M University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Construction Management.

Angie Mastrocola
Senior Vice President
Angie Mastrocola serves as Senior Vice President of Hillwood Residential, providing operational and senior management to the Dallas/Fort Worth teams. She oversees the development, sales and marketing of Hillwood's master-planned communities in D/FW, while handling the overall operations of the Residential Division.
Since joining HIllwood in 1992, Mastrocola has managed many neighborhoods, promoted tract sales and assisted in feasibility and due diligence of land acquisitions. Prior to Hillwood, she was with Continental Bank in Chicago, where she worked in the real estate division and managed loans to real estate developers and home builders in the western regions of the United States.
Mastrocola is a member of the Texas Association of Home Builders, Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas, Fort Worth Chamber of commerce and Plano Chamber of Commerce.
A graduate of North Texas State University, Mastrocola earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.

Brian Carlock
Senior Vice President Acquisitions
Brian Carlock serves as Senior Vice President for Hillwood Residential,overseeing land acquisitions for the Division across the country. Carlock has managed the acquisition of over $100M of real estate in the past 3 years. Carlock is also responsible for the management of residential master-planned communities, including the infrastructure development, marketing, sales, association management, disposition and overall financial performance. One of the communites he has managed is Heritage, which is the highly-acclaimed mixed-use master-planned community in north Fort Worth. Heritage is a large-scale master plan with more than 3,000 homes, muliple schools, world-class amenities, commercial and retail uses. It is widely acknowledged as one of the most successul communities in the history of Dallas/Fort worth.
Prior to joining HIllwood in 2000, Carlock worked with Carter and Burgess, one of the largest consulting firms in the country, as a land development consultant, providing engineering expertise to residential and commercial real estate firms. He focused on the the development of master-planned communities, corporate campuses and commercial centers with regard to land uses, zoning and ordinances, utility and infrastructure design, cost estimates, investment reocvery plans and other civil engineering impacts of development.
From 1992 - 1998, Carlock served as an officer in the U.S. Army. A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Carlock received his Bachelor's degree in engineering management. He earned his Master's degree in environmental engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla.

Margaret E. Pesnell
Director of Marketing
As Director of Marketing, Margaret Pesnell oversees the promotion of Hillwood's master-planned communities, generates and executes a cooperative marketing campaign and budget for each community and approves the design and production of print advertising, billboards and community signage. She also markets and sell custom lots in both of Hillwood's luxury communities in Dallas and Allen.
Pesnell began her real estate career in 1983 as director of marketing services for Trammell Crow Company's residential division. She worked for Fults Associates, Inc., a commercial real estate company, before joining Hillwood in 1994.
Pesnell currently serves as a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas, Women's Council of Realtors and North Texas Relocation Council, and is a past President of Dallas Relocation Professionals. In 2005, she received the McSAM (Maximum Creativity in Sales and Marketing) Award for Marketing Professional of the Year from the HBA of Greater Dallas.
Pesnell graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a Bacelor of Science degree in Education with minor in music.
